Who we are
BlueShark (Search) LLP is based in London, England. Initially established in 2000, BlueShark was restructured and renamed in 2004. It has two founding partners; one a ‘City’ head-hunter since 1988, the other a long standing corporate divisional MD with one of the world’s best-known publishing, financial and direct marketing organisations. Both were successful in their chosen fields and both were constantly looking at new ways of approaching old problems, often surprised by resistance from colleagues. Both are passionate about original thinking, and are not averse to taking well judged personal risk to illustrate their ideas.
That said, we are also passionate about legal compliance. Our researchers don’t misrepresent; they are trained by us to find out protected information without recourse to untruths. We respect everyone’s privacy, which is why you won’t find our clients’ names plastered all over our website, nor will you see meaningless testimonials. If you want to take a reference, we can organise it discreetly through internal channels. Our web-enabled headhunting platform, Predator, is fully compliant with EU data protection and electronic communications Directives.
BlueShark operates as an international recruiter across a number of industry sectors covering a broad range of roles. While focused mainly on white-collar, managerial (including directors) and experienced professional positions, since 2007 we have increasingly recruited for highly-skilled positions such as CNC machinists, welding inspectors and line supervisors, many of these being in West Africa. To the frequent surprise of our clients, we also identify very high quality professional and managerial candidates in-country too, saving them the expense of expatriate or rotator staff.
International work comprises both in-country and cross-border campaigns, reflecting the global nature of the technology, energy, natural resources and financial industry sectors in which we typically operate.
